Changing plot colors

My system is setup to plot lines based on lien color. I.e. blue - big line, red = medium line, etc. Is there a way to change the line colour without changing the plot lien color? I.e. I don't want my whole drawing to be red, yet want it to plot the red line weight (while still maintaining linetype by layers). Is thsi possible and if so how please?

If you use paper space for printing, it can be done by creating new viewport & you can assign color red to all thre objects in that viewport, without effecting colors your drawing in modle space.
