I have a topographic plan that I want to disect (only use a part of the plan). The surveyor has it on a scale of 1:300 to plot on A2.

I want to take that portion, cut it out and paste in a new project so I can design the landscape. I intend to plot out on A2 as well.... though the scale will change surely.

Is this possible?

I have the file though it exceeds the limits of the forum attachments, so if anyone can help, I can email the file through.

thanks,

Joffy :)

Hopefully the drawing is at real-world limits, not scaled. If not, the surveyor should be shot :)

So you could use the surrveyor's drawing and draw over it. Or xref into your drawing. Or copy and paste from survey drawing to your drawing. Then you can choose to plot your drawing at any scale, the proper way, by setting zoom scale of viewport in paper space.
