KennyJ Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 I don't know what I did but all of the sudden my Selection preview doesn't work like it always has. I used the selection preview command and tried set it up the way it was before but none of the 3 options get it working the way it was (when I moved the mouse over a 3D object it used to highlight with a selection preview). Also I'm having problems subtracting complex shapes. And PressPull doesn't work correct I don't see the selection preview and nothing will press or pull. I know it's not a lot of information but I don't have a clue as to why this just started happening. These are problems that just started yesterday. Please help me it's taking a lot of extra time to complete simple subtractions. Quote
papagyi Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Type in command line ...pickbox enter 3 enter Next type in command line ...HIGHLIGHT enter 1 enter Then ....you already solve the selection problem! Quote
KennyJ Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 Ok, I decided it would be better to try to reset to factory default settings. Is there a way to do this? Or will I need to reinstall? Quote
ReMark Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Do NOT reinstall! You've obviously been brainwashed by Microsoft into thinking that every little problem requires you to uninstall the app and then reinstall it. That should always be the absolute LAST option. Think it through. The "problem" as described does not warrant drastic action; it requires deductive reasoning. Might as well nuke your house to get rid of three ants. Quote
ReMark Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Does this happen in any other drawing or just the one you are currently working with? Have you tried the REPAIR option on your installation disk? When did the problem FIRST occur? What were you doing or attempting to do? Have you run an AUDIT on the drawing? Quote
ReMark Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Close down AutoCAD. Shut down your computer. Wait 30 seconds. Reboot computer. Start up AutoCAD. Open nuisance drawing. Repeat command(s) that gave you problem(s) previously. What happens? Quote
ReMark Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Kenny: You want to update us? What have you been doing to solve your problem? Quote

KennyJ Posted March 10, 2009 Author Posted March 10, 2009 Hey thanks for all the replies. I think it might have only been on the drawing I was currently working on. But some things are still working weird on all drawings. it seems as most problems are solved though. I'm not exactly sure whats not working correctly now, but I can tell some stuff is different because my work flow just doesn't flow like it was before the problems. I think selection preview still acts funny but whatever, I can at least work again without being annoyed. Quote
