dsibbo Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 So I recieved a drawing of a building plan. The building is a lot of blocks for bathroom, bedrooms, then the outside walls etc. All the blocks can be edited using the bedit command all except the outside wall. When i double click the block to edit it, i get the 'edit block definition' box but with no block to go into. I know i can explode it, so i can then change the linetype, width etc. Is there a way to get into these blocks when they are in a drawing without having to explode them?? Quote
dsibbo Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 Yes xref works, there are no xrefs loaded to the drawing though, (so none are missing, unloaded, orphaned etc) & when i double click it, bedit opens!! Quote
dsibbo Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 When i type refedit & click it i get this message in the command line "** Cannot REFEDIT anonymous block ** Quote
Dipali Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 than it is definately 'xref' now why can't you see it in 'xref manager' is mystery. try this & see waht hahpens 'select & right click & select option 'edit xref in place' Quote
bonehead411 Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I don't know if it's relevant here, but maybe the xref(s) were bound before the drg was sent. Then they wouldn't show up in xref manager. I only use xrefs from time to time and am not that familiar with them, it was just a thought. Quote
dsibbo Posted March 5, 2009 Author Posted March 5, 2009 Just tried what you mentioned and again recieved ** Cannot REFEDIT anonymous block ** message. I've had a look on the net about anonymous blocks and nobody seems to have any idea how to edit them. Quote
wannabe Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I think you should wblock it. Re-insert the WBLOCK and explode on insertion. This will update the definition and hopefully iron out the bugs. Quote
