Outmaw_Lynx Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Hello, I'm new with AutoCAD, and I've got a little problem but I really can't find a solution. When I add the dimensions of a line that measures exactly 24 cm, it will write 24.0000, and I actually have a lot of dimensions to add so it makes the drawing really ugly with all those big numbers and useless 0's. I'd like to have only "24", but I just can't find how to change this. Is that possible ? Thanks Quote
Cad64 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Open your Dimstyle Manager, select the Dimension Style you want to change and click Modify. Now go to the "Primary Units" tab, "Zero Supression" section and put a check in the box that says "Trailing". But remember, zero's are important if you are trying to hold tolerance on your object, so I would suggest setting your "Precision" to whatever tolerance you need to hold and just accept the fact that there will be extra zero's on some dimensions. Outmaw_Lynx Posted March 7, 2009 Author Posted March 7, 2009 Mmh, well, I'm not using AutoCAD in English so actually ... where/what is the "Dimstyle Manager" ? ^^ About the tolerance, I've got no dimensions with... "more than one number after the point" (how do I say that in english >. Quote
Cad64 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Try typing _.dimstyle. Be sure to include the underscore and dot. Since your Autocad is not in English, I'm afraid you'll be on your own once you get the manager open. just poke around and you should be able to find what I described previously. Quote
