I am running Autodesk Map 2005. Every time I hit the F1 key AutoCAD tries to run its installer 4 times, loads the help page, then tries to run its installer again. Occasionaly when the help is still open it will try to run its installer again when I search for something. Another user in the office has the same problem when he hits the Esc key. This problem just started ( for me ) earlier today. Any andvice that could point me in the right direction would be great.
same thing happens when i type the help command

:o oh man, ummm un-install, reboot, re-install. Sounds like a screwed up install to me.

after I uninstalled CAD, restarted, installed CAD, then re-applyed my profile, the F1 key was still wonky. I uninstalled CAD, restarted, reinstalled CAD again. I then went step by step through any util installs/settings instead of applying a profile, testing tht F1 key each step of the way. Several of my menus were not working, including the Express menu. I decided to let CAD sit over night and see if that solved anything. There was no change, so I decided to re-load all of my menus, this time they all worked (no idea why some of them didnt work the first time i loaded them)
Thx for the advice

F1 launches "AutoCAD Help", mine takes a few moments but eventually does it. sounds like a problem with that.
