I use the Multiple Polyline Edit command fairly regularly to join up lots of small lines (it's not particularly relevant, but they are segments of contour lines). On a typical drawing I will ask AutoCAD to join as many as 15,000 lines at one time, and obviously one expects this to take a little time. With AutoCAD LT 2004, it would have joined these lines in just a couple of minutes, but now (on the same PC) with AutoCAD 2005 the Multiple PEDIT command takes infinitely longer - I have just used it now, and I've waited 36 minutes to join 16724 segments into 134 polylines!!
If anything, I would have thought that upgrading from AutoCAD LT to full AutoCAD 2005 would have sped the process up, but no! Obviously, taking 36 minutes it just ridiculous! Anyone got any suggestions, or similar experiences?
