FIFTHTEXAS Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 have a data sheet that someone else has produced, trying to update the information ( ie room data sheets). there is a problem that the text is all on the same layer, same properties etc. but looks different on the sheet some are thicker some thinner. have tried to match properties, no success they just do not match the same. seems there is a glitch somewhere. having to now re-insert and edit the text so it all looks the same. this is time consuming having to do the job all over. has anyone had a simular experience? and can anyone advise of a method Quote
CarlB Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Could be that this is mtext, and all the same style. The font has been changed within the mtext editor to have different fonts. Match properties doesn't work on this. You might consider creating a text style of each type you want; put sample text on appropriate layers; explode all the mtext to text so they lose theirr formating, then doing a "matchprop" on those. jsbrunt Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 You might also try selecting a group of the text objects and going to properties to see what is different (those differing property slots will be blank). Try picking one or some that look how you want them to and see what thier properties are. It would be unusual for someone to change things inside mtext (though it does happen). That would be a little like the boss who uses spaces to align columns in a word document... Quote
