reyems Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I'm sure this is a basic manuever, but I do not know the procedure. I have two drawings side by side on the monitor, I would like to copy a window's worth of lines from one drawing to the other. I thought I could drag them over but that does not work. Any help? Thanks Quote
skipsophrenic Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Highlight everything you want to copy. go EDIT > COPY WITH BASE POINT Select a base point. Go into the other drawing. EDIT > PASTE Place the items where you neeb them. Quote
Lithium Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Actually, in LT 2009 you can drag and drop. Select the objects and right click--not on an object. Don't let up when you right click, pause, and drag to the other window. Drop. Edit: You do not select copy. Just highlight/select the objects. I suspect that is what reyems found out (below). Quote
reyems Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 I can't get this to work, Lithium. When I select the objects, is it before I select copy? When I right click away from the selected objects do I make any choices or simply drag my mouse over to the second drawing and let go? I have tried a few of these options and am having no luck. Appreciate the help...seems to me drag and drop should work somehow. Quote
reyems Posted March 17, 2009 Author Posted March 17, 2009 Sorry...just got it to work. Thanks Lithium...and all the others! Quote
Martini Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Edit > copy with base point > 0,0 Ctrl V > when it promps you for base point 0,0 See if that works, then it should be at the same corrds. Quote
