Hey Folks.....
Here's another one from work. I have some redlines that originated from another drafter, but thats not the prob. After an hour of changes I plot preview and it is completely blank, I re-window and "scale to fit" without any effect. The sheet has a Xref site plan with one regular square viewport and all text and dims (yes dims, I know its a sin, but thats the company) on paperspace. Now for the clues.....on the "Plot Settings" tab if I un-check the "plot paperspace last" box all the text and dims (I know, I know) :) now show on the preview, so I know I have the right area to plot, but still nothing from modelspace, the Xref. The viewport displays objects and show on the screen fine, we even have a hard copy, plotted from the other drafter in the same office. Clue 2..If I unlock the viewport then click into modelspace (from the layout) the view will zoom way out (from a 1:20 scale to something like 1:100). This is without zooming or attempting any command, just going from paper to model. This project has about 10 sheets and this happens on 3 of them. My only recourse has been to re-build the dwgs.
I'm thinking of changing my qoute from "List of Weird things..." to "Really starting to dislike CAD 04"
Thanks in Advance

Do you have layers that are not printable? If so, check the layer where the xrefs were inserted.

No I'll double check to be sure, but all layers are printable, I'll check to see if its on defpoints, but it did print before and why would the text show after unchecking print paperspace last? Any other ideas?
Salamad (sp?) where are you at in PI? asawa Filipina, she is from Bataan.

Sorry, I have no idea about unchecking 'print paperspace last' coz i've never changed it. :? How about 'checking' it again? Any difference?

It's 'salamat' (thanks)... I live in Manila. I've met people from other forums who also happen to have a Filipina as their 'asawa' (wife). I guess the Filipina traits has always a knack on foreigners. :D

If I un-check the "plot paperspace last" box on the "Plot Settings" tab all the text and dims(everything on paperspace) now show on the preview, but nothing from model space and I double checked, all layers are printable. The Xref is on layer 0. When I unlock the viewport and go to model space the view will automatically jump back, (from a 1:20 scale to ~1:100) without a command started? The viewport displays objects, so for now I do not have a clue and need all the help I can get. Any ideas?
Hope your traffic is not as bad as what I see on the PI news!

Have you tried AUDIT?

I did some search in the forums. You may also want to search for your self.

Erona, you got it...tried audit and now everything shows on the preview THANKS!!!. I did audit 4 problems 4 fixs, save, exit, reopen and the same thing happens, (no preview, this time 3 problems, 3 fixs. I'll audit the xref's to see if that works. Now it leads to one of my previous posting, much like my car mechanic, audit tells me its fixed when it is not, but one huge step closer...THANKS
