Colourform Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Hi there, Can anyone help. I am reasonably new to Autocad and have been given a chance to do a space planning design for my business using 2006. I have completed a drawing of an office space, and want to have it plotted on A1 paper. To plot the drawing which i have drawn actual size (1 unit = mil), how do i have the correct scale so that it is a true reflection of 1:50 - the drawing is 50 times smaller than real life. Changing the scale to 1:1 in the plot command dialogue box, using A1 papersize i thought, would mean the drawing is waytoo large for the paper when viewed in paperspace, but it still fits on the paper. Sorry for what is probably a basic question Leon Quote
LarsT Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 When you are in the layout for printing, switch to model space, and then you can zoom to the scale you want by typing Z and enter. If you want to print 1:50, type 1/50xp and enter. That will zoom your drawing to the correct scale. I'm not good at giving help, but this is how I've been doing it. Quote
ReMark Posted March 18, 2009 Posted March 18, 2009 Typically you draw full size in model space then switch to paper space (Layout), create a viewport, scale the viewport, then plot your layout 1:1. For future reference. Quote
BIGAL Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 Just adding make your paperspace viewport window about 800 long by 550 high (A1=841x594) then set scale as above for viewport but plot whole sheet at 1:1 Quote
