Organic Posted March 20, 2009 Posted March 20, 2009 Autosave is setup to save every 10 minutes I think. Most of the time this works fine in the background ,although in the past week, a balloon pops up saying Autosave failed at least once a day. The server is still up during these times and if I go File - Save (like I normally do anyway) it saves as normal. Thoughts? Quote
Cad64 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Have you been able to determine if it happens at any specific time, like after you execute a certain command maybe? Do you have all the service packs/Updates installed? Are you running any 3rd party add-ons? Quote
rkmcswain Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Where is your autosave configured to save? To a local drive or a network? Quote
Organic Posted March 23, 2009 Author Posted March 23, 2009 No 3rd party addons. Seems to occur randomly, sometimes once a day, sometimes zero, sometimes twice - different times etc. Is updated fully. Backup autosaves to the network in the same location as the file. Quote
rkmcswain Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Backup autosaves to the network in the same location as the file. So you are using MOVEBAK to do this? Quote
A1DWG Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 Where is your autosave configured to save? To a local drive or a network? I would suggest, unless your CAD manager has any express objections, that autosaves are stored on the individual pc's C drive, I would imagine your problem is network related. Quote
rkmcswain Posted March 24, 2009 Posted March 24, 2009 I'm not sure sorry. By default, autosave files are saved to a local directory, and they are NOT saved to the same directory as the main drawing file. In fact, not even MOVEBAK can do this. Type in SAVEFILEPATH, what does it say? Type in MOVEBAK, what does it say? Quote
