keep getting "can't find acadapp" message.
I'm running acad 2002.
The acadapp.arx file is at C:\program files\AUTOcad 2002, right where it is supposed to be.
The application is loaded.
I have tried copying another acadapp file and overwritten the old one.
I hate to reload acad and loose all my customized settings.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any help.

That's weird Ed, it came right up in ADT-2005. :?

it is weird.
I just tried it using R14 and it won't run either.
For some reason any acadapp.arx file isn't being found.
It is an IBM computer - 1st time I've used an IBM and 1st time I have had this problem.
ddvpoint comes up on other computers here that were installed with the same CD.

Can't get the display boxes to come up but vpoint command works.
In case someone else runs into this, I discovered I can "fudge" my way around the problem.
When ddvpoint does work, I like building and veiwing solids at 315 degrees from x axis and 30 degrees from xy plane.
I wrote a line into my acad.lsp that gets me where I want to go:
(DEFUN C:DDV NIL (COMMAND "VPOINT" "ROTATE" "315" "30")).

Cool that you figured out a work-around. I used to use an IBM PC but I never used that command on it so no idea if it would have worked. Mine at work is a custom built PC and it worked here. I am going to try when I get home on my other systems, scrath-built and Dell 4600.
Oh, welcome to the forums BTW ;)
