Changing the color of symbols

Hi, how do you change the colors/text sizes of symbols such as surface finish symbols? I can't figure out how to get them from yellow/green to simply black and white or any other color. It's probably something simple that I'm over looking, but I just don't know and need help!

AHHHHHHHHH I had the exact same problem yes the surface finish symbol (tick) comes up in yellow for me so does some tolerances on dimensions and can't just be changed via the properties colour. the way round it is exploding: http://discussion.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=712777&tstart=30

thanks for the reply but oddly enough as you typed that out I figured out another way. i can just change it to "by block" instead of by layer and it goes to white, and if i want to change the text size, I just have to change the scale of it. Although that changes everything's size... so I'm not sure how to change only the text size. I could explode it i guess and then scale the text or edit it I guess? I don't know, I'm going to play around with it some more...
