hello all,

i'm just starting to learn autocad 2002, up from R14, so please expect loads of questions in the near future! :)

first question:

how do i change the screen/drawing area from the defeult black background+white lines to white background+black lines? never really found the black background conducive to working.

thanks in advance!

pitkru.

To change the colour background: go to
-> Tools
-> -> Options ...
then when you`re in the menu go to
-> Display (2nd)
-> -> Colors ... (in `Window Element`)

You can then change the colour to both your Model Tab (where you draw) and the Layout Tab (where you plot the drawing to print)
Clic on Tab you want to change, and then in the pull down menu `color` choose the one you want ;) ... then `Apply and close` -> `OK` and it should work !!

Go to Tools then choose Options. Then go to the Display Tab and hit the Colours... button. In the "Colour Options" dialog box, you can pick objects in the small graphics for Model or Layout. When you pick on a different object you will notice that the Window Element pull-down box will change to the object picked. You can then choose any colour from the Colour pull-down box. So you can have the crosshairs that are different colours in Model and Layout tabs. This works in any version of 2000 and 2002.
