I am using dimension on a 1:20 dwg- 2D. Despite my effort to make a visible text on Dimension Style at first, my dimension is not at all visible on the dwg.
I have tried to scale the dimension and did not have a positive result.
Any idea how to solve the problem?

Did you try to modify your `dimension style` to scale the text at 1:20?
If you go: `Dimension` -> Style ...
Create a new style `New ...`
Then you got all the specification to enter ... `Lines and arrows` ... `Text`
In the menu `Text` my text height for a 1:20 is set to 3 ...
Then when you`re back on your layout tab, choose in your dimension toolbar the little drop down menu to select your style for a DIM 20 and it should work using the `quick leader` tool ...

As I mentionate it in the above message I try it to make the necessary changes in the DIM STYLE but there is no improvement at all. No matter what high for the text I choose, does not make any difference.
I have no idea why Autocad 2002 is doing this.

Orbit,
Try creating a new text style - naming it "dim_text" perhaps. Make sure it has a value of zero - then assign this to your dimension style.
In your dimension style, the important things to look out for are text style, height & gap. For example to achieve 3mm high text when printed out on a 1:100 drawing
Text height : 3
Text Gap : 1.5
With the "overall scale" (DIMSCALE variable) set to 100 - this gives me a text height of 3mm when printed out.
If you go the route of having your DIMSCALE set to 1 - use a text height of 300mm. The same principle applies to dimension line extensions & tick sizes.

Are you drawing and dimensioning in model space, OR are you drawing in model space and dimensioning in paper space? The prefered method is the latter. By dimensioning in paper space, you do not have to worry about setting your text height, arrow size, etc., you only have to set your scale factor. You mentioned that you used dimension style, but after making your modifications to your text height, did you use the "Set Current" button on the dimension style manager?
Another thing that you may not have been doing is updating your dimensions afterwards. Type "dim" at the command line, and then enter "up", and then choose your dimensions to update.
Oh yeah, a very important thing to do is make sure that the text style that you are using for your dimensions is set to "0", or your dimension text height modifications will not take effect. Type "style" at the command line, and assuming that you do not have a dim text style, your text height in the "text style" dialog box should be "0".
If none of thes solutions helped, then a little more information is needed, such as which version of ACAD you are using.
