Hi, before I begin I want to let you know I'm new to this forum and I've been using Autocad for about 4 years off and on. I'd like to think I know my way around AutoCAD fairly well, even though I only took one class in high school years and years ago. It's not my main CAD program, I use Rhinoceros mainly, but I'd like to use AutoCAD to draft a layout of a roller coaster to build a simple model, and hope someone out there can help me.

What I'm after can best be seen here:http://www.cmgmodels.com/cad/cad_models.htm

I'm using AutoCAD 2002.

Because I've never done something in three dimension like this in AutoCAD, I just want to draft a simple oval track that won't cause much hassle. My main problem isn't so much the track, but the support structure. Is there an easy way to array these lines around the track, yet have them adjust to the different heights? In other words, say I want to keep the vertical bracing in 3 foot increments, can AutoCAD fill in the supports between a 6 foot mark and 54 foot mark? I'll take any help I can get on this, so if you'd like to contact me on AIM, please do. I'm so lost!
