raymon Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Hi Thanks in advance to anybody that can help. I have worked a fair amount with Autocad and have never had this issue before. I have recieved drawings from an engineer on a building and cannot paste any items within the drawings.I cannot copy and paste from other drawing either. this has never happened to me before. I am running Autocad 2002. Quote
Tankman Posted April 5, 2009 Posted April 5, 2009 Could you post an example? I don't, as others, might not understand, "Can't copy n' paste." Quote
raymon Posted April 6, 2009 Author Posted April 6, 2009 here is a sample of the drawing i am talking about. I just cannot figure out what is happening. I cannot copy and paste to other drawings or paste from other drawings. and also cannot simply copy and paste with-in the drawing. Thanks in advance. School Sewer trial built.dwg Quote
Cad64 Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 Was this drawing created in Autocad 2007? The hotfix provided in the link below needs to be applied to the engineers copy of Autocad. He will then need to open and save the file and send you a new copy. http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=7450124&linkID=9240618 Quote
eldon Posted April 6, 2009 Posted April 6, 2009 You will also find that WBLOCK does not work The easiest way round this is to start a new drawing from scratch, then insert your drawing, exploded, and all will be working as normal. Another way is to download (for free) and install DWG True View, and convert to R2000 format. Quote
