berol Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Am a newbee and drawing a very small part (apx 2' wide x 1" high) so my drawing paper scale is 4 wide and 3 high and drawing in model space. When I dimmension using the icons, the text and arrows are way too large and the same when I print. (!st) how do I control these measuring dimmensions (text and arrows) so they appear correct for my width & height of drawing choices. (2nd) How do I set up my drawing so these dimmensions change if I stretch etc. Thanks for your help Quote
tkelly Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Hi, Your first querry about the dwg scale and plotting is bit unclear. If you can explain good, I may be able to help you. Your second query about stretching the drawing and dimensions change accordingly. You Have to change the system variable "DIMASSOC" value. Set "0" - the dimension given will be in exploded form. Set "1" - the dimension given will be a single object and is not associated with the object. Set "2" - the dimension will be associated with the object and changes with the object. Option "2" is not yet available in Acad 2000. Am a newbee and drawing a very small part (apx 2' wide x 1" high) so my drawing paper scale is 4 wide and 3 high and drawing in model space. You can access it through command "D" ,menu option Dimension or toolbar. Quote
totzky Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 What do you need explained You learn by doing. With the dimension style dialogue box you can adjust the size of text, size of arrow, etc. I think DIMASSOC for AC2000 is DIMASSO. This is the dimension variable for associativity. Setting it to 1 or on is the answer for your 2nd question. Press F1 for more. Quote
