gururajendrak Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 hi, I am new to this forum and pretty excited about the kind of knowledge sharing you guys are doing. I need a solution/suggestion in the below case... I have a block with all attributes in a drg. i want to copy the same block into another but while doing so , all the attributes will remain same.. is there any way to reset the attributes once i copy it to another drg.. kindly advice thanks guru Quote
dbroada Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 If you WBLOCK the block out to a "symbols" folder and put that folder in your search path you can just INSERT the block and a new instance will be added ready to input your new attributes. I think you can use Design Centre or a palette too. Quote
gururajendrak Posted April 20, 2009 Author Posted April 20, 2009 Hi thanks for your response, i just tried what you have mentioned, first i exploded the existing block and then made a wblock of the same. now when i brouse the wblock and insert in a file. i am able to edit the attributes but i am not getting that Enhanced attribute editor which i used to get previously. dbroada Posted April 20, 2009 Posted April 20, 2009 you don't need to explode a block to wblock it, just select BLOCK in the dialogue box. I don't know why you are getting a different attribute editor though. Quote
