Hello, I just recently started using Autocad, or trying to anyway, and I can't really figure much out. Before I ask any other questions at this forum, I just would like to know if Autocad is anything like 3D studio max? I use 3d studio max, and if Autocad is like it in any way, then it shouldn't be hard for me to learn it. I guess I will just leave it at that for now. Thank you for your help!

Sadly, AutoCAD is not like MAX. Some of the concepts you know from MAX will be helpful, working in 3D space, coordinates etc. But the command set is quite different and the sequential way the commands work are also quite different. Who would have thought these two applications were made by the same company? OK, the AutoCAD 3D Orbit command will be familiar to you but not much else.
I suggest you start with the tutorials at www.CADTutor.net to get an overview of how things work.
