Hello,
I am pretty new to AutoCAD, I started working at an architectural firm about 5 weeks ago, I'm 15 and have never taken a drafting class or CAD class, I am self taught by reading the product maual, and asking some questions. I am familiar with simple 2D drafting. One day one of my colleagues asked me to learn how to create and render a plan in 3D. I had no idea how, but I began to dive headfirst into the ArchDesktop Manual, only to find out that since we got the upgrade version, the software only came with a new features manual. The building i am doing is very simple. I am confident i can create all the doors windows etc. My problem is that the walls must meet an arched roof.....but the roof is arched in many places at many diff angles. another question i have, is if it is possible to simply add "thickness" (a command i am familiar with) to walls, but instead of a thickened line, it recognizes the lines as walls. I only have to make an outside model.....no inside rendering is required. My final question, is if it is possible to simply change your viewpoint, and add lines in different axis' to create your 3D model by hand, then turn all of thes custom shapes into solids?
Thanks,
Matt :P
