Error Message: Parametric Blocks

I'm working on a drawing with parametric blocks in, but nearly every time I try to edit a block in the Block Editor I get the following message:

INTERNAL ERROR: !dbutil.cpp@698: eWasOpenForWrite

It then offers me the chance to save changes, however, when I tried to open the 'recover' file, I was told the drawing was not valid.

Any ideas folks, as I'm pulling my hair out, (and I don't have very much to pull out).

I never would of guessed it was a linetype problem!!
