First of all- I apologize if I am either in the wrong forum (or even the wrong message board)- I am a fledgling designer who is used to using Adobe Illustrator to produce vector art. Recently my duties have broadened to having to produce clean dxf files to send to Mold makers who import the files into Cadcam programs such as Mastercam or Visual Gibbs or Bobcad etc.
My problem is that the dxf files produced from seemingly clean Adobe Illustrator files are full of intersecting lines or open chains that wreak havoc with cad cam systems. I have been cleaning up the files in bobcad BUT I think if I had a cleaner EPS to DXF converter I would be 90 percent ahead of the game.
Am I thinking in the correct terms??? VERY, VERY new to this.
