anyone out there been succesfull in displaying an excel sheet into
autocad.

i can copy and paste cells into paper space. but when i double click on the
OLE in cad, Excel opens and i make some changes, add some cells.

but when i revert back to the drawing, the additional cells that were added are not shown on the OLE.

Any ideas?

It may be something to do with the alowable size of OLE objects in AutoCAD. There is a limit and this has obviously been causing problems for AutoCAD users because the AutoCAD 2004 promotional material is making a big deal about improves OLE handling and being able to accept larger Excel spreadsheets.

Thanks,
I thought that it might be the case. in the help files in autocad it did say there were some issues with OLE. Typical, they didnt disclose too much.

I did learn a lot from the google search though. Found a real quick way to enter points in autocad just using cut from excel and past into autocad.

Do you mean pasting to the command line in response to a point request?
Simple but it works.
