Mark1965 Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 Hi all I have a dwg in model space that is straight and the ucs points the correct way but when i open a paper space tab with a veiwport the drawing is nearly on a clockwise 90 degree angle i have played with the ucs controls and only managed to flip the drawing so it looks mirrored as in the text is backwards , any advice please. mark Quote
Zorg Posted May 18, 2009 Posted May 18, 2009 type UCS -> W then PLAN -> W should straighten it all up to the right view. Quote

AlinOz Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 As per your profile, are you still on 2007? 2010 has introduced some nice variations on the viewport UCS controls that may make it differ to the following suggestion. If so, check out your UCSFOLLOW variable. It should default to 0. Here's Autodesk's explanation: 0 UCS does not affect the view 1 Any UCS change causes a change to the plan view of the new UCS in the current viewport Sounds right up your alley ... Quote
Mark1965 Posted May 20, 2009 Author Posted May 20, 2009 hi all Yes AlinOz still 2007 The file is too big to upload at 500kb,any other way of letting you see the dwg?. Thnx Mark Quote
skipsophrenic Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Jpgout see if can get a decent jpeg, or printscreen and save as jpeg in paint. As for the "wonky UCS", is it set to world? if not try doing this. UCS > W Then type PLAN > CURRENT if everything was drawn in the world UCS this should sort it. (Tip: try these on a COPY of the drawing first, incase it goes wrong ) Edit: - sorry my computer didn't show all the other replies Been happening alot lately Quote
Tiger Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Sounds to me like it was set to a user-defined UCS in Model space, but set to World UCS in Paper. While in Model space, go to Tools > Named UCS and see if there is a name there. Then go to Paper Space and while in the viewport type UCS > NA > R > the name of the ucs. Quote
GE13579 Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 Has the viewport been rotated? Try double clicking within the viewport and check if the UCS looks like WCS, if not you might need to play around with MVSETUP- ALIGN- ROTATE... Just if it has been rotated I'm not sure how you might find out how much it's been rotated by? Perhaps it's listed in the viewport properties? Quote
