Guidelines on publication of AutoLISP routines
Many AutoLISP routines have been published on this forum, some simple, some complex. I am very grateful to those authors who publish their own work for the benefit of others - that is exactly what CADTutor is all about.
If you would like to publish an AutoLISP routine that is NOT your own work, there are a few considerations that should be made.
1. AutoLISP authors retain the copyright to their work whether explicitly stated or not. If possible, the authors permission should be sought before a routine is published.
2. AutoLISP routines must be published in their entirety, including any comments, especially where they relate to authorship.
3. If the author of a published routine is unknown, the source (where it came from) must be declared. This may help an author who wishes to declare their authorship retrospectively.
4. Please bear in mind that AutoLISP routines are not, by default, public property. Please ensure, before publishing a routine, that you are legally entitled to do so.
Thanks
