AQucsaiJr Posted May 26, 2009 Posted May 26, 2009 I want to create a Lisp file, or ecuivalent, or use somthing already created to publish all DWG drawings within a given folder... Anyone know of somthing I can use? -PUBLISH does not seem to do what I want because we really don't use drawing sheet sets. We are constantly adding DWG drawings to a specific folder during a project, and there is numourus occations in which we would like every DWG, within that folder, printed. I want to use one quick command to publish everything in the folder. Quote
yawdapaah Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 i'm not sure if this will help but when i want to print a folder of separate drawings, i open a brand new autocad window, type publish then drag the files into the publish window. i import the page setup from a file on my desktop (which has all my page setups defined in it) and publish. hope that helps. AQucsaiJr Posted May 27, 2009 Author Posted May 27, 2009 Ya... That's how I do it now also... This seems to be the easiest way... I just wanted to see if I could make it a one click operation... We have employees here that have trouble with the publish and plot because of all the available options... I was hoping to eliminate the options for them... Oh well... Maybe A-CAD will come up with something in a new version I could use... Thanks for your help though. Quote
www.cmorephotos.co.uk Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I would say that if all the drawings have the plot information set in them then the simplest way would be to open all the drawings in the folder and then click publish. All drawings will be in the list and all will print as set. Then simply close CAD down. Quote
AQucsaiJr Posted May 28, 2009 Author Posted May 28, 2009 You know, I have tried this and found that if I have any of the drawings open that are in the drawing set to be published, the only drawing that gets published is the one that it in the top of the list, or the one that is currently in the ACAD view. I am guessing this is a problem but I just drag and drop the drawings into the list instead. Quote
chelsea1307 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 instead of dragging and dropping if you click the square in the top corner of the publish dialog box with the plus sign you can shift-select all the drawings you want to add in any folder on your computer Quote
yawdapaah Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 that's awesome chelsea. can't wait to try it out. Quote
