Publisher used to work fine, and for some reason, the last two files I have tried to publish there were some quirks in it. The problem that's it's doing right now is that it opens the file, then just goes to the next one, but doesn't actually put anything to pdf and the sheet counter the (1 of x) guy, just stays at 1, then about half way through it, it then starts to actually work, so I only publish half the the files I want to. The ones that don't get published then say they have a "layout properties error".
