MisterJingles Posted June 3, 2009 Author Posted June 3, 2009 The only 12 option I have is to save as a .dxf. Is that correct? R12/LT2 DXF? Otherwise the only early options given are R14/LT98/LT97 .dwg Quote
Cad64 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 R12? Sounds like somebody needs to upgrade. You could try DWG TrueView. It will convert to older versions, but I'm not sure how far back it will go. Check it out, it's free. Quote
ReMark Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 The only format available for R12 is DXF. There is no DWG option from within LT 2007 as you have discovered. Quote
tzframpton Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I actually meant R14 in my O.P. sorry. I agree, R12 is well over 10 years old isn't it? Quote
MisterJingles Posted June 3, 2009 Author Posted June 3, 2009 Cad64 - Yeah Id say. Its a government department, go figure. So by saving it as a .dxf it wont solve my problem? Quote

Please forgive my confusion guys, but am I correct in thinking that the versions as old as Version 12 can only be saved as a dxf file and thus I will Save As R12 dxf to solve my problem? Quote
Coosbaylumber Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 If your drawing contains any text, it may be omitted. The arrowheads for a leader will come through, but not the text. All linework ought to show up in one manner or another. On R-12 all text was pen plotter styles. On R-14 the text was either Pen plotter or Raster (like Adobe Tru-type) depending upon how it is used. To be safe, you may need to convert all of your text over to some Universal or Bi type. Wm. Quote
