GIDZA Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 my pallets{ draw edit anno...........}have disappeared. still got the command line. please help me fix. also is there a way of resetting to factory mode? Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Press Ctrl+3. Do your tool palettes reappear? There is no "factory mode" in AutoCAD. Restoring your Profile to the AutoCAD default? Is that what you're asking? Quote
GIDZA Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 AUTOCAD default settings. cheers mate. how can i fix the pallet issue Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Did you try pressing Ctrl+3? What was the result? There is no magic button to "reset" everything in AutoCAD unless you call uninstalling and then reinstalling a normal procedure. Changes you have made are stored in multiple places and files. The Profile is one; the Registry is another. Have you looked for the back up copy of the acad.cui file? Quote
GIDZA Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 thats been the best help i've had so far, but it still not the original. the pallet i now have looks more like text with illustrations rather than icons, meaning its bigger. however i can use and my stress levels have dropped by 95%. thanks Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that since you're working with 2009, that you want your toolbars back, not tool palettes. If that is the case, try watching this video tutorial. Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Are you confusing palettes with the Ribbon at the top of your screen? Quote
GIDZA Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 I'M NOT very good with computers, moreso with autocad. ribbon and task panel r gone Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Are you in clean screen mode? Try entering Ctrl+0 (zero) Quote
GIDZA Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 I'VE tried that, i've also tried ctrl+3 which was some relief but not exactly wat i want Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Try entering MENUBAR or RIBBON at the command line and set it to 1. Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 It will help immensely if the correct terminology is used. Are you talking about the Ribbon (at the top of the screen) that took the place of the drop-down menus in previous releases? Quote
GIDZA Posted June 9, 2009 Author Posted June 9, 2009 THRU VARIOUS SUGGESTIONS {VIDEO HAS BEEN SO MUCH HELP} I NOW HAVE MY TOOL BARS. THERE IS A PROB I CAN LIVE WITH tho, they (toolbars) r a little too big. however thanks so much to everyone Quote
ReMark Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 OK, so it was a problem with your toolbars. Glad we got that straightened out. Quote
MaxwellEdison Posted June 9, 2009 Posted June 9, 2009 Glad it got sorted out...Might have just been a case of "If I knew how to answer your questions, I wouldn't need you to answer mine" Quote
