Meglesniak323
I am using AutoCAD 2010 at home where I have been working on a school project for about 3 months. I was using 2 seperate drawing files which havent had any issues until now. It even worked yesterday. However today when I try to open these 2 files, AutoCAD starts off extremely slow and then a message pops up saying "FATAL ERROR: Unhandled Access Violation Reading Oxffffffff Exception at 63d3220eh" and then AutoCAD closes. I also tried opening my other saved AutoCAD files and it worked. The only ones that will not work are these 2 floorplans. Has anyone ever had this same problem? rkmcswain
Sounds like the drawings are corrupt since it's only happening to these particular drawings. Have you tried opening them with the ._RECOVER command? Have you tried opening your BAK files instead? Tankman
The recover command works fine when I receive drawings from another source. One client uses CADKEY, saves to *.dwg file to email at my drawing request(s). CADKEY does save to *.dwg format however, some "issues" are notable. One very notable problem is with text size. His title block and more, frequently overflow boundaries. I tried movin' them to CADKEY but, they're leary of the learning curve.
