does anyone out there know of a way to send text in an autocad drawing into an excel (.xls) spreadsheet? i'm running autocad R14 & 2002. is there a way to do this with lisp or is there another way to accomplish this?

Depends what format your text is in but using LISP, you could export the text to a file in a comma delimeted format (CSV) and then open in Excel.

If you have a schedule setup in CAD and want it into Excel I have developed a way to bring the text into Excel and sort it according to the Y coordinates.
I works pretty well but, if you have blank 'cells' in CAD then you will have to move text around in Excel.
