Hello everyone. I have AutoCAD Architecture 2009 64bit (I am using Vista SP2 64bit Ultimate). Everything works fine, I model some buidligns and so on. After I open AutoCAD Architecture few times, I want to continue drawing my projects but then the problem starts. I click to draw a wall / door / slab/ window or anything else and nothing happens. Only the properties list blinks. For example, when I want to draw a wall, when its OK working, when I click on the wall, on the properties list appear dimensions, elevations and so on and I can simply draw it in the viewport. But, when this problem appears I am unable to draw anything. I also make a new file - but I can not draw anything in it too. The only way I can resolve this problem is to uninstall and again install AutoCAD Architecture - then It works fine again (for 2-3 days). I am sick of reinstalling it every 2-3 days, so please help me guys!
PS: I downloaded all the lastest updates from Autodesk site & installed them ,but this problem keeps comming back.
Maybe I accidently freeze something (since I am still an amateur) or maybe I click something that I should not..

I believe there was some talk about a problem similar on the official autodesk forums. I would try to search there to see if there has been a work around or fix. I personally have not seen this problem, but it would not surprise me, many people have problems with 2009.

So its a bug..Ok, at least, its not my faulto:)
I found out that only Autocad Architecture 2009 works on Vista 64bit, I tried to install the older ones but it was a no-no. So,my only option would be 2010?
Thanks

There is a workaround for 2008 to install in a 64 bit enviroment, but you will have go give up the very nice updates from 09 and 10 to use it. So far the consensus seems to be that 2010 is good, with the exception of the full ribbon interface. (which I personally like)

just one question: files created or edited in 2010 can they be opened in 2008 / 2009? Since 3d studio max has this problem.

it can be opened, but the AEC objects will loose the AEC capabilities. I would avoid doing any work in 2010, unless you plan to keep it in 2010. There is a new file format which comes about every 3 releases, so 2010 is the first year for this file format, the next change will be in 2013.
