YuanMasipag
Can anyone help me? when i import a 2d CAD file to SketchUp for 3d, the dimensions from the CAD file changes when imported to SketchUp. an example of this is when i have 3000mm in Autocad 09, when imported to SKetchUp 7, i get 914400mm. Thanks so much... I'm a beginner... And does 3d modelling in Sketch Up slows when you have larger Dimensions? thankx........
NBC
The difference in the scale factor you have noticed is the scale factor used to convert from Feet (Imperial) to millimetres (Metric), for example there are 304.8mm in 1 foot
bbankston
I had the same problem when I first started using SU. Take a look at the screenshot and make sure that your dialogue box resembles the one shown. You can get to that screen by clicking the "options" button. I always "scale up" a drawing if I'm doing some detail work to it and I've never had any slow downs. Showing shadows or showing hidden items does slow my computer, though.
