cant open drawing

when i try to open a particular file i get a popup message 'AecBaseServices- minstance= NULL'

any ideas what this is?

have you tried recovering the dwg? Does this occur with just one dwg or all?

It might be helpful if you tell us what software you are using. Some problems are software specific.

It makes reference to Catia, and is 1006 pages long in pdf format.

Catia? That's strange. I found a reference to a number of AutoDesk products. That's why I asked what software the OP was running.

I only got two hits on the error message, and both of them said something about Catia. All I did was copy and paste the OP's text into the search engine, but that's all it came up with from here.

I've never used or even seen Catia, so I'm no help at all on that.

I searched only on AecBase.

Ancient One? I'm not as old as Yoda...yet.

What is the source of the drawing(s)? Did the drawing(s) come from a client, or vendor or another company you are working in conjunction with?

Have you kept up-to-date with service packs for 2007?

Have you tried the REPAIR option?
