what is Difference Between Revit MEP and MEP ?

I am new to MEP prog, here is my Qs: Please help !
1. what is Difference Between Revit MEP 2009 and MEP 2009?
2. If I just want to do coordination drawing( for piping, duct and Elect), which one is the best?
3. Can I use a 2D drawing as an base design to create a Coordinate Drawing ? or do I need a 3D drawing in order to create a 3D coordination drawing?

3. Can I use a 2D drawing as an base design to create a Coordinate Drawing ? Yes, just harder to show multiple levels of systems on the drawing. or do I need a 3D drawing in order to create a 3D coordination drawing? No, we use 2d backgrounds.
