My textbook has one sentence on cutting-plane lines and symbols.

"Cutting-plane lines and symbols are provided one of several ways, as shown in Figure 21-5."

 

Figure 21-5 shows five cutting-plane lines and symbols pointing to my left.

 

Can anyone direct me to an in-depth article?

What book are you referencing? Sounds like they are showing you some examples. What else were you expecting to see?
