mr_mojo_risin Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Hello all, Sorry if this has been asked before. How do I change my dimensions to Inches in AutoCAD 2008 LT??? Cheers Quote
ReMark Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Asked and answered many times as you might imagine. Take a look at this: http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=37980&highlight=dimension+inches Quote
mr_mojo_risin Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 Thanks, but I want to change from millimetres to inches. Quote
ReMark Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I see. Well, thanks for making that so much clearer. Quote
mr_mojo_risin Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 Sorry!!! When I draw a line and it asks for the next point, if I specify 6, it draws a 6mm line. How do I draw a 6 inch line??? Quote
ReMark Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Then your question is really not about dimensioning a line? Quote
nocturne00 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 halfway thru the thread was the real question ^^ Toggle your UNITS, then set them to inches. everything drawn from then on will be in Inches, or feet if you prefer Quote
ReMark Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Don't give me what I ask for give me what I need. A surgeon said that to me during a thoracotomy after asking for a Kocher clamp. Won't the OP have to scale the drawing up as well (or what he has drawn already)? Quote
nocturne00 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Its a problem I think when changing units in the middle of a drawing. a 2.54mm line drawn w/ UNITS set to mm is ok, but when you change your unit to Inches, instead of getting a 1" length, the 2.54mm line drawn will be recognized as 2.54inches, it wont convert the length.
