Sorry!!!

When I draw a line and it asks for the next point, if I specify 6, it draws a 6mm line.

How do I draw a 6 inch line???

:)

Then your question is really not about dimensioning a line?

halfway thru the thread was the real question ^^

Toggle your UNITS, then set them to inches. everything drawn from then on will be in Inches, or feet if you prefer

Don't give me what I ask for give me what I need. A surgeon said that to me during a thoracotomy after asking for a Kocher clamp.

Won't the OP have to scale the drawing up as well (or what he has drawn already)?

Its a problem I think when changing units in the middle of a drawing. a 2.54mm line drawn w/ UNITS set to mm is ok, but when you change your unit to Inches, instead of getting a 1" length, the 2.54mm line drawn will be recognized as 2.54inches, it wont convert the length.
