Open files pop-up menu disappeared

Hi...When I try to open a second drawing, the pop-up menu is gone. Instead I just see the command line prompting me to type in the file name. At my office I could never remember the file name and location without scrolling through a pop-up menu. No problems with any other programs. Suggestions?
