Coosbaylumber Posted August 27, 2009 Posted August 27, 2009 How long does it take for EXPLAYERS to get going? Seems to me that since yesterday it takes like 10-20 to get to an operating dialogue box. Used to take maybe four seconds. Not now. I get the dialogue box right away, it is just very, very slow to enable me to allow me to turn off one layer. You think this has something to do with bad memory alotments? Once I kick in CAD the meter used to go down about 6 points to about 84% free. Can't find that any more. Also notice how simple Notepad is using huge amounts (25%) of memory now. Wm. Quote
Coosbaylumber Posted August 27, 2009 Author Posted August 27, 2009 Oh, and nothing has changed on the system for three months now, except to create and alter new drawings. Quote
ReMark Posted August 28, 2009 Posted August 28, 2009 What are the full specs on your computer? What other programs are running concurrent with AutoCAD? When was the last time you did any system maintenance like defrag, etc.? When did the problem first occur? Does this happen in one particular drawing or all drawings? Quote
