need to get co-ordinates

hi... i need to get co-ordinates of more than 12,000(grid points) points in autocad 2007 into excell sheet and also want to number it in a specific way

Data Extraction is your friend.

I had to do this recently. I had to plot points along a curve to send to our CNC guy. I was able to extract the X-Y coordinates of all points and either export them to a spreadsheet or insert them as a table.

In order to provide any advice some more info would be helpful. Such as are these just random points or are they blocks used as points with attribute data with the point number being one of the attributes? If the latter is not true then extracting the coordinates of each point with a specific numbering scheme is going to difficult if not impossible.
