BIGMIKE09281946 Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 I am working on a Civil Drafting school project that requires a "cut and fill" discipline. My school textbook cover the subject in three very vague paragraphs three drawings. None of which make any sense. Can someone suggest the name of a textbook I can locate online? Quote
Tankman Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 You might try this text book, very reasonably priced too! http://www.amazon.com/Civil-Drafting-Technology-Fifth-Madsen/dp/0130498793 Quote

Calif. each county and each city has their own set of "Standards" and the format is noted therein. A standard textbook is therefore considered, but not adopted. Within the Soils Report for the job or project (required by Sacto to be done) is an explaination as to what formulae is to be used for work on the site. The Soils Report may be vague (often common around here) too in that it does not note as to where retaining walls are to be constructed nor their footing designs. In turn you are expected to refer to yet another book for formulae for earthworking. Wm. Quote

Tankman Posted September 7, 2009 Posted September 7, 2009 Thank You All! I located, and purchased that textbook. A small item you will not regret. The textbook will come in handy, time and time again. Quote
