Is there a way to scale an object thats already dimensioned and keep the original dimensions intact ? (AutoCad 2004) Thank You. Deano

 Hmmm...how can you scale something and not affect the dims. ?? :o

i think youre talking about the dimension style?
you want to scale your part x 1/2 (for example) but you dont want the dims to be huge, instead you want them to be just like they were at full scale.
youre going to have to make a new dim style and assign those dimensions to it.

8) Change the dimension style to compensate for the scale factor....
In the Primary Units tab you will find the Measurement Scale, set to compensate for your scale factor....
NOTE: this a measurement scale ONLY, it will scale the measured distance and enter that value into the dimension text
