Hello, I'm using AutoCAD 2005 and this is probably a really stupid problem.
If I try to edit a block/reference, and I press "ok" when the Reference Edit window pops up, all the blocks/references that I wanted to edit diappear, and if I discard changes, they reappear again. Out of the 6 floors that I have, this is the only one with this issue.
Any ideas why all the blocks hide??

8) This feature is designed to work like that...but it's depenant on what is selected (these won't vanish), so if you are the entire floor then it will not be hidden, but if you only select a block or part of the floor then only these object will remain visible...

I understand that its supposed to dim the rest of the floor so you can see exactly what block you're working on. The thing is, the block that i select disappears once I press "ok" on the reference edit window

8) The selected block itself disappears  ... hmmm :glare: let me think about this one

its not just the select block, its all the block with the same reference name :D
There's 6 floors, and this problem is only with the 5th floor. I tried copying one of the blocks from the other floors to see if it would give me the same error, and it does :(

I have this same problem, that upon competing the editing of a block all referenced instances are relocated, and do not remain in their positions. Is there an easy solution ?

If their is nothing to select after you refedit, type in "battman" then when the dialog box apears select your block name and hit the sync button. If you have something to select and the rest of the blocks arent changing type in "attsync" then select your block. 8)
