Hi,
I've already digitised a large number of contour lines of a map (in AutoCAD 2000), but forgot to scale it. I tried scaling the raster w/ the SCALE command but it simply gets rid of all my digitised contours!!! Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ivi

Just check to see if your conyure lines go behind the raster image when you scale both the raster image & polylines.
I have found in the past when i trace off a raster image, if i move or edit aone of the lines, it goes behind the raster image. this can be fixed by using draworder under the modify pulldown. send your raster image to the back and your poly lines should appeer

As soon as the map is in I would LOCk the layer.
Also if you are currently drawing in 1:1, then simply dimension an area
and check the size against a survey size.
Check the units/scale by typing UNITS and see what pops up.

I agree with what has been said - most likely a display order problem.
Also, see http://www.cadtutor.net/acad/acad2k/map/mapte.html for a short tutorial on scaling raster map images in AutoCAD.
