Scaling in One Axis

Is it posible to constrain Scaling a 3d object in only ONE axis in ACAD 2006?

If not possible, then would it be possible in 2008?

Thanks all :)

Yeah, but in Autocad 2006 I don't have grips.

Besides, i can't work precisely with grips (specifying displacement measures for example). I need a percentaje scale in one axis.

It's incredible that no one in Autodesk thought about this.

3D modeling in AutoCad is a marriage of 3D StudioMax with AutoCad. The two are quite different with some similarities. It has evolved a lot since they started using 3D StudioMax features in AutoCad.

Have you tried to use properties to get the results your looking for? You can input precise measurements there. Also one way I have gotten around the axis scaling is by creating a block out of what I want to scale. Then when I insert it I choose the axis I want to scale during the insertion dialog.

Then use the Move Faces command. Precision "stretching" can be accomplished via the keyboard.

It works!

Thanks guys.

Which "It" is that? Did you use the block method?

Something tells me we won't see him again. Unless he has a problem. Ahh well thats what we do around here... provide answers or solve problems.
