My current employer (I'm a shopper) does not want the diameter symbol used when dimensioning circles. He wants "DIA" written after the value.
I do not want to explode the dimension. Is there a variable or toggle that will get rid of the dia symbol in "dimdiameter"?
Is there another command that will dimension diameters that I could substitute into the tool bar?
Thanks in advance

you woudl haev to use texct over-rides ~ which defeats the purpose of having dimension objects in the first place
~ just tell him it's impossible in Autocad ~ or punch him

only thing i can think of is, in the text override slot, type <>DIAMETER
<> tells acad to keep current dimension but add something else to it also.
as far as the strikethrough zero, i dont think you can get rid of it except by exploding.

Hendie is well right. I tell everone it is not possible in CAD. This works too well at work as i am the only one that can use it and if they argue then i punch them.

even better ~ tell him if that is what he wants, then it cannot be done without a custom routine being written to accomplish it... and I'll write it for you for $200

Well I like all the responses I feel the same way alot of the time when people come to me and ask me to change something thats of no consequence, but you could actual change this if wanted to. In the dim style you put a space for prefix. :)
