Hay all, I did a search on "excel to cad" and got what i thought to be true also, that you could only cut and past a 8 1/2x11 sheet size and I saw the lisp program to create a table from excel but my question is how come someone here in my office can past as many cells as he wants from excel to cad. I didnt think that is was possiable so we tested it and he can. We use the same cad 2005 and 2006 but his excel is diffrent. Mine is 2000 his is 2003. I looked to see if their was any setting that were diffrent but i didnt see any. Does anyone know if the reason he can do this is because of his excel being newer or if its a setting somewhere. It would be real conveniant if I could now copy larger areas from excel. If anyone knows anything about this your input would be most appreciated. :)

In a discussion of new features in 2004 (I assume your 2003 is 2004?), following is mentioned:

OLE copy from Excel has not the old limit if Office XP is used. SP 1 is needed. You can now have a 256
column X 10000 row spreadsheet if you have the system RAM to accomplish it.

It's the newer Excel on your buddies machine that is allowing the larger copy to clipboard.
