Could you explain further what you are wanting, I am not sure what you are asking.

I am trying to create a school timetable. The table tool on AutoCAD 2009(like an Excel grid) would be ideal if I could enter the information about each year group in its own layer. Basically I want information on the grid to be built up in layers. Can this be done on an AutoCAD 'table' (grid)

No, sorry that won't work. You could make 12 tables and put each one on its own layer and put them one on top of the other. If you have Excel I would use that instead of AutoCAD.

Thanks. I will try placing the tables one on top of the other. At present the timetable is made up using an ancient Mac running Macdraw Pro. I want to create something equivalent on a PC. If AutoCAD tables could cope with layers it would come close to what Macdraw pro can do.
